RECAP: rehearsal dinner

As you know the original rehearsal dinner location closed down 2 weeks before the wedding so I had to hunt to find an alternative location. So it kind of altered the environment for the beers and burger theme. Needless to say I kept it super simple with the rehearsal dinner. NO muss No fuss.

Ok so I wanted to start out with the rehearsal and rehearsal beers and burgers theme dinner but I haven't recieved the pics back from the photog yet. So here are some pics that my planner had on her blog that she took during the set-up for the wedding.

Cupcakes not exactly how I wanted it but it came out pretty darn cut. The white cake had peacock feathers designed in the cake. Peacock love birds purchased from Hobby Lobby.

Ok so here is where things got a little ugly. You all know the story about the florist well I found and hired a new florist who was new to the industry but seemed to be professional during our encounters. Well I started little things about her but I just let it go well. The weds before the wedding I went to her house to check out the progress on the centerpieces all seemed well. I took pics and everything. She advised that she had a death in the family and was leaving in Sat morning and would do the set-up friday. When I arrived to the venue for rehearsal my planner advised that she had dropped off everything and left saying she had a funeral to attend. So this caused a bit of a confusion and unpleasant feelings. So Friday after rehearsal dinner my friends and family went back to the venue to finish up the set-up. Long story short we saved the day and everything was beautiful but that was my pre-wedding drama. Moral of the story----ALWAYS HIRE PROFESSIONALS !!!! I knew that because I work in the industry but I was trying to give a newbie a chance to establish business. So the centerpiece here is something we had to make up quick for the cocktail hour display. It was supposed to be a huge 6 ft + tree but no one knew that but me. In the background you can see the AWESOME photowall my dad made before we put the pics on it!!

I's MARRIED now!!

I'm back from JAMAICA mon and we had a great time! I have lots of pics on the way. As much as I I didn't blog on the wedding day. I left my computer at home and I didn't use the business center at the hotel. The wedding was A-W-W-W-W-W-E-E-E-E-E-S-S-S-S-S-O-O-O--M-E-E-E-E-E-E-E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will have recaps soon coming. I waiting on more pics. But I will leave you with a teaser. I gotta go get catched up with school work more posts later!

24 hours away

This time tomorrow I will be slipping on my wedding dress. This time has been filled with so many obstacles and triumphs, but overall I can say I feel that it has been a beautiful experience. No what matter what goes right and wrong. Tomorrow I marry a great man and I LOVE him dearly. I am READY rehearsal starts in a few hours and I just wanted to post. I thank all of you for reading this blog and contributions. This is it! See ya on the other side....Ms---MRS!!!!

7 days

Well today marks 7 DAYS!!! Where does the time go. All is well thus far. I had my final dress fitting on FRI and my dress is getting a few loose ends tied. My mom dress is completed. We are rolling right along. My FI B-Day is TODAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE!!!!! He is having a birthday/bachelor party tonite with his friends. Lastnight we had a Henna party and it was awesome. I have to upload the pics tomorrow. SO far so good. Tomorrow we are having a program party to complete the programs. I meet with the planner to get all the wedding stuff tomorrow as well and we will be on our way to the altar! Hope all is well with you all.

Clean house
Pack for Honeymoon
Tie up loose ends with florist

CHECK:license to wed

We went to apply for of marriage license today. In my state that wait 24 hours to issue the license so we pick it up tomorrow. It was so EASY!!! There wasn't even any paper work involved really.

guess what happened...

today we recieved our very 1st wedding presents. I don't even know what it is because the box wouldn't fit in my car so I will pick it up tomorrow. Our photosharing cards came in today from Vistaprint and our travel agent sent us a gift as well! I am starting to get SUPER EXCITED!!! FI's b-day and Bachelor parties are this weekend so good knows what them fellas are going to be getting into. I am having a henna party Friday night and going to Florida a getaway. I am looking forward to some relaxation. I'm off to study something to sleep. Nighty-nite!

BMs Par-Tea

The BMs Luncheon was today and we had a great time! I really enjoyed myself. As you know I love themes so the luncheon was a Tea Party so here are a few pics for your enjoyment!

Since I really wanted to have some yellow in the wedding and couldn't find a place for it I decided that the colors would be black, white, and yellow! Here is our little table.

Updates

So it been a while since I blogged or at least it feels like it. We are moving right along and I am getting more and more excited. Throughout the wedding planning process I have had a few frustrations, but overall it has been a beautiful experience. Well today is the BM Luncheon and it's a tea party so I will come back with a plethora of pics. I am so excited about it. I hope that they enjoy this little gathering that I am hosting for them. I LOVE my girls. They have been very supportive and this is just a little token of my appreciation. FI and I are getting of marriage license this week. I met with the Florist yesterday and she is going to have the 2 arrangements officially mock-up this week. School has been hectic and I have to get a like 2 weeks worth of work completed this week. SO that I am not stressing at the end. I want to fully ENJOY our HONEYMOON! I plan on buying a new USB port for my computer so that I can download some pics. I have to go to my grandma' s to pick up my hat for today. LATER. By the way thanks for reading and encouragement.
